Zimbabwe Legends (also known as ZimLegends) is a digital project and documentation initiative founded by Joel Masuka to celebrate Zimbabwean icons. It preserves the legacy of exceptional individuals, teams, and cultural figures from the early 1960s to the present day.

ZimLegends is a celebration of the extraordinary individuals who have shaped Zimbabwe’s history, culture, society, sports, music, arts, business, education, and national identity. It brings together the stories of people whose achievements, sacrifices, talents, courage, and contributions have left a lasting mark on Zimbabwe and beyond.

From celebrated musicians and sporting heroes to academics, entrepreneurs, artists, writers, community leaders, and other influential figures, ZimLegends recognizes the diverse individuals who have helped define Zimbabwean identity across generations.

More than a collection of biographies, ZimLegends is intended to preserve memories and stories that might otherwise be forgotten. It provides an opportunity for younger generations to learn about the people who came before them, understand the circumstances in which they lived and worked, and appreciate the contributions they made to Zimbabwean society.

The project can span past and present generations, highlighting both internationally recognized personalities and lesser-known individuals whose contributions were significant within their communities. In doing so, ZimLegends can become a historical and cultural record of Zimbabwean excellence, resilience, creativity, and achievement.
