ZimLegends (accessible via zimlegends1.com and 1zimlegends.com) is Zimbabwe’s first comprehensive online database and digital archive dedicated to documenting, preserving, and celebrating the achievements of the country’s national icons. 

Founded by Joel Masuka, the initiative serves as a digital “Wall of Fame” for individuals, teams, and organizations that have significantly impacted Zimbabwean history, culture, and society. [1, 2]

Core Features of the Project

• Broad Spectrum of Fields: The archive spans multiple categories, honoring trailblazers in music, arts, entertainment, sports (such as soccer and boxing), business, philanthropy, education, and community development. 
• The “Timeless Legends” Book: Expanding on the years of digital archiving, the creators published a comprehensive print book titled Timeless Legends: Walking Down Memory Lane — Lest We Forget (co-authored by Joel Masuka, Tapfuma Machakaire, and Kamangeni Phiri).
• Notable Profiles: Featured database entries include major historical and modern figures like sungura icon Alick Macheso, business mogul Nigel Chanakira, actor Tongayi Chirisa, and soccer commentator Charles Mabika. 
• Curated Top Lists: The platform also catalogs local popular culture metrics, such as a community-rated list of the Best Rated 100 Zimbabwean Songs.
